Nagarro Taps Mexican IT Market with SAP NetWeaver™ Development Projects

- Nagarro’s SAP consulting practice has begun developing ten new process automation systems on the SAP NetWeaver platform for Mexican mortgage and construction lending company Patrimonio Hipotecaria. This engagement is part of a company-wide migration to the SAP platform.
- Patrimonio selected Mexican application development vendors to work on the standard process of migrating to SAP’s enterprise resource planning system. However, Patrimonio was unable to find a local partner that could design and develop complex internal applications for process automation on the SAP NetWeaver Platform.
- After vetting several US companies, Patrimonio found that there were very few companies worldwide with deep expertise in SAP’s cutting-edge NetWeaver technology platform. Patrimonio found Nagarro to be the most experienced, resourceful and reliable partner to help carry out the company’s vision for an SAP NetWeaver-based process automation system.
- More than 90% of Nagarro’s SAP development is done in India, an uncommon offshore outsourcing destination for Mexican enterprises. Patrimonio found that unlike most Mexican application development vendors, Nagarro’s engineers have proven capabilities in SAP NetWeaver, a sophisticated new platform mastered by relatively few experts today.
- Patrimonio, a 15-year-old company with 17 regional branches, is considered one of Mexico’s most efficient and technologically advanced financial companies. However, its double-digit annual growth over the past several years has begun to overtax the company’s complex array of more than 20 homegrown internal applications.
- Patrimonio’s outdated applications threatened to stall the company’s growth and competitive advantage, prompting a complete shift to SAP’s more flexible and robust platform. In addition, the company wanted better statistical analysis capabilities to monitor customer behavior and trends, as well as more flexibility to develop offerings and adjust business models to capture new market opportunities.
- In order to ensure that Patrimonio can achieve its growth targets, Nagarro is using SAP SOA for design and implementation of the banking process automation. In addition, Nagarro is using SAP Composition Environment (SAP CE) consisting of SAP BPM, SAP BRM, SAP ESR, SAP SR and Enterprise Services.
- With its new SAP-based ERP system and process automation applications, Patrimonio, which now manages approximately 40,000 mortgages, will have the capacity to efficiently handle at least 500,000 mortgages without system delays or inconsistencies in customer data. Patrimonio will work with a Nagarro as a long-term partner on additional SAP-based initiatives over the next several years.
