    About the paintings

His work shows wild nature, consisting of trees, rocks and water. Another essential element is architecture, which is either a part of it, or gets devoured. A main characteristic of my paintings is the complexity and richness in details, the interpretation of which depends on the individual viewing distance and perception. The perspective is floating. The pictorial spaces are infinite. Few humans are visible. Where there are none, their absence is obvious. A recurring theme of my paintings is nature, which is reclaims its part from humans, and beauty in the state of decay. One stands in front of the picture for only a few moments when observing it closely - only to find oneself astonished in the next moment.
