San Jose, Calif. — February 1, 2012
Nagarro, Inc., a high-end software development firm specializing in strategic technology projects, today announced that it has been appraised at Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) Level 5. By reaching CMMI Maturity Level 5, Nagarro has achieved the rating organization’s highest level of recognition for its success in establishing a company-wide culture based on robust, standardized, and well-defined software development processes.
The Capability Maturity Model Integration of the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is an internationally recognized standard for assessing software development practices. Its process improvement approach provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
As a company appraised at CMMI Maturity Level 5, Nagarro has demonstrated that it can successfully guide process improvement across projects, divisions, or an entire organization. Nagarro’s appraisal also verifies the company’s ability to integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.
Nagarro’s appraisal for Maturity Level 5 was conducted by a 12-member team led by a High Maturity Lead Appraiser (HMLA) from KPMG over a period of ten days in December 2011. During the standard 30-day evaluation period that followed, SEI reviewed the findings and published Nagarro’s CMMI Level 5 ranking in January 2012.
As a software development vendor with the highest possible CMMI appraisal level, Nagarro will continue to implement its top-rated systems, processes and methodologies to deliver meaningful benefits through every customer engagement.
