March 11, 2025: Nagarro, a global leader in digital engineering, in collaboration with Telenor and key technology partners, has announced the establishment of an Industrial IoT Solutions Lab in Gothenburg, Sweden. This state-of-the-art 5G test facility is designed to help businesses harness the power of AI and real-time analytics to transform industrial operations.
The lab will serve as a hub for testing next-generation 5G-enabled solutions, including AI-driven predictive maintenance, condition-based monitoring, and enhanced worker safety systems. It will provide a real-world environment for developing and refining advanced industrial IoT applications, such as 5G-connected drones that enhance critical societal functions with speed and precision, autonomous vehicles that improve traffic safety and efficiency through real-time data processing, and Edge AI that enables real-time industrial insights by deploying AI applications directly at the edge.
A strong ecosystem of technology partners is driving innovation at the lab. Nagarro is driving smart factory applications, while Telenor is leading 5G and edge infrastructure and providing global testing capabilities.
“Nagarro’s global presence empowers us to transform innovative ideas into tangible realities, bridging the gap between conceptualization and execution. By partnering with industry-leading providers, we enhance our end-to-end solutions. This collaboration drives significant impact across various industries, showcasing our commitment to excellence and innovation,” said Ananda Sen Gupta, Managing Director of Telecom Business Unit at Nagarro.
The Industrial IoT Solutions Lab is complementing Telenor IoT’s global connectivity testing facilities in Karlskrona, providing Swedish enterprises with a dedicated space to accelerate the development of real-world solutions that meet international standards and regulatory requirements.
“Operating on a global stage, Sweden is home to many companies that are eager to explore the new capabilities that 5G offers. We have several customers who are excited to test these solutions in a real-world setting, with a global perspective and requirements such as roaming. Being part of Lindholmen Science Park, a hub for groundbreaking innovations, and now offering this new 5G Solutions Lab in the same location, allows us to bring everyone together in one place. The new lab is a valuable addition to our established testing operations in Karlskrona, expanding our offering to global customers by providing hands-on testing of future IoT scenarios,” said Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion and Head of Telenor IoT.
The collaborative effort in the partner ecosystem ensures that the lab is equipped with the latest technology and expertise, driving innovation and real-world solutions.
