The client’s business was scaling up rapidly, so it was becoming increasingly vital for them to get real-time information on these aspects. Selecting routes depended on operators' prior knowledge of routes, traffic patterns, and other constraints. Additionally, data on real-time locations of forklifts was unavailable, and operators did not have visibility on actual transportation time. 

Nagarro helped develop an advanced analytics solution that helped in finding the fastest route from one point to another after considering constraints like distance, speed, number of waypoints, waiting time, obstacles etc., using AI-based heuristic algorithms. By leveraging the simulated data of shop floor, forklifts, and orders, the solution shares a real-time insight over an interactive UI for quick analysis.

Also, integration with the existing Location Intelligence tool provides the live location of forklifts around the shop floor, leading to quick movement of goods. 

The solution provided a host of benefits. Due to the availability of real-time data, re-routing is now done easily to avoid complex scenarios of route congestion (when multiple forklifts move around). Warehouse managers can now ensure speedy and timely deliveries of goods in the warehouse, optimal utilization of forklifts, and improve overall operational efficiency by reducing operating costs and turnaround time.
