One problem with classic price labels is their timeliness. If adjustments are made, prices have to be changed both on the product and at the checkout as simultaneously as possible. This unnecessarily ties up capacity in day-to-day operations. Thus, the price labeling had to digitized and integrated into the SAP ERP system. One major challenge was to integrate the electronic shelf labeling (ESL) seamlessly without any disruption to ongoing operations.

The software solution for electronic price labeling based on NAVI (Nagarro VUSION Integrator), was implemented in just three weeks. All previous labels were replaced with electronic displays. The smooth implementation was followed by a three-month test phase. During this time, the team closely observed critical aspects such as everyday usability, speed, time savings, and reliability. Further upgrades are now being planned on the basis of this data.

Thanks to the new system, prices on labels no longer have to be changed manually. Instead, they are transferred automatically and price adjustments are displayed in real time. Differences between the price label on the shelf and the price at the checkout are thus, avoided. This has had a positive impact on the company itself as well as on customer satisfaction.
