Riders expected a holistic and premium experience from the existing rental services of BMW Motorrad. Beyond the need to rent a motorcycle, they had to deal with multiple vendors for tour planning, equipment and accessories. The presence of dealers across the globe also made it challenging to adjust the IT platform to individual legal requirements. Multiple mobility products and services generated vast customer data requiring efficient management to enhance existing offerings.

Nagarro and the BMW Group co-created an experiential platform with services like renting motorcycles and equipment, recommending tailor-made tours and point-of-interests. With our UI/UX and design thinking capabilities, we helped enhance this user-centric BMW platform, providing its customers and its partners a seamless and holistic experience. We also created an API gateway that allows secure perusal of global customer data by different mobility services and delivers personalized notifications and other on-demand services.

The Rent A Ride platform runs customized promotions, manages bookings, and creates same-side network effects of increased uptake by dealers and other partners. It is currently live in more than 20 markets and is used by over 220 dealers globally. The BMW Group has enjoyed a significant increase in bookings. The platform has elevated the customer experience by allowing enthusiasts to focus on the ride while it handles the rest.
