Streamlining data integration with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) platform

The client was facing challenges on two fronts. It wanted to automate its Goods Receipt Number (GRN) process, eliminate manual intervention, and reduce the error rate. Meanwhile, the client was migrating to Asset Information Center (AIC) for a better user interface, improved performance, and helpful parameters to make sorting out components easy and quick. They sought a scalable solution to integrate data from multiple sources, including the SQL server and other applications sitting in SQL DB and Oracle ERP, to make a new application work.

Nagarro took a consulting approach and helped the client evaluate the best approach for automating GRN creation and integration via OIC middleware. To automate the GRN creation process, we designed an OIC-based standardized, secure, and robust solution to support the complex item-matching logic.
To facilitate the client's migration to AIC, we designed and implemented an end-to-end solution for integrating the project server time reporting system with Oracle ERP. It helped design complex yet performance-optimized queries to fetch data from Oracle. It further enabled us to develop common integrations for maintaining reusability, outbound interfaces to send supplier and item data for all purposes, and deliver complex B/XML reports for fetching Oracle data.

Our solutions enabled efficient tracking and maintenance of more than 160,000 railcars and automated data synchronization between systems. The system enabled improved quality of financial and operational data. Smooth systems integrations enabled automated and fast GRN generation and data synchronization. The implementations further helped streamline the automatic transmission of Oracle and SQL databases to AIC. After the deployment, the client witnessed a significant decrease in maintenance and technology lifecycle management.
