the story
Our client, a leading provider of mobility solutions for urban, inter-urban, and freight transportation, wanted to improve the visibility of shopfloor operations and quality for one of their factories. We conducted a workshop with the client team to identify various ways through which shopfloor operations and quality management can be improved. Thereafter, we shortlisted several use cases including shopfloor network interconnectivity, remote monitoring of shopfloor operations, predictive maintenance of assets, and more. We validated the identified use cases based on various parameters such as business impact, return of investment, and ease of rollout. Together with the client, the use case to develop a quality management reporting application was selected. This application was envisioned to enable quality engineers and shop floor operators to monitor the quality parameters of products, parts, and variants, and optimize the production process by taking corrective action in case of any anomaly.
