Streamlining information exchange, improving customer satisfaction

To ensure the safe and secure exchange of information that is expected in the digital age, the German Insurance Association established the Trusted German Insurance Cloud for registered users (insurance brokers, insurance providers, government authorities, etc.) requiring two-factor authentication. However, concerns remained about external data processing and the lack of standards to configure and design the interfaces needed to transfer various data formats smoothly across their diverse industry systems. A new set of rules defined by BiPRO ironed out the process of how data needed to be formatted and ensured that all data, across all IT systems, would be proceeded the same way. APIs provided the required integrations to make this process easier. The success story is about R+V Versicherung - one of the largest providers of insurance services in Germany, with more than eight million customers and approximately 23 million insurance contracts - leveraging CA API Gateway capabilities (with Nagarro as a strategic partner) to adapt APIs to the new industry standards and fulfill branch requirements, thereby improving the quality of customer service.
