“As DCR Architecture leader in Schneider Digital, my role is to make sure our platforms and applications are providing the best employee and customers experience by answering all their need but also by being stable, fast, secure and scalable.

One of the key experience we offer to our B2B professional customers is called “mySchneider” that is a gated platform providing a seamless, unified & personalized logged-in customer experience allowing each customer to navigate seamlessly over a maze of complex offerings including but not limited to +50 business services sourced from +20 different backend solutions via APIs. The core solution of mySchneider is a serverless implementation on AWS with integration in backend to various enterprise applications like SAP, Oracle CPQ and other SAAS and custom applications.

Our vision is to offer this solution to up to 1 million monthly active users vs 70k MAU today. With this vision in mind, we wanted to validate, if the choice of technology stack, architecture, infrastructure, implementation and operating model is ready to support our growth strategy for the platform.

We contacted Nagarro with our problem statement to perform a complete architecture audit of mySchneider and assess it’s scalability. We were very impressed not only with their approach to audit but also with the insights they shared on current state and recommendation for achieving our vision.

Nagarro followed comprehensive framework drive approach, leveraging their A360 assessment framework, which focusses on various angles like customer experience, architectural canvas, design survival, data and services efficiency and infrastructure choices. The cross functional team at Nagarro has impressed and surprised us every day with the depth and breadth of their findings. The audit report not only included results from load test to highlight current scalability challenges and but also defined a clear roadmap for implementation that can help us achieve our growth target.

The report covered 100+ recommendations classified in short, mid and long term buckets to achieve our vision. The recommendations were later vetted by AWS team as well.

We are now engaged with Nagarro on implementation of these recommendations and results have already started to reflect positive improvements in our performance index of the platform moving from an Apdex of 0.6 before the audit to 0.83 today.
